November's OKN Movers 100 shows 100% top-25 turnover against the usual 40% guardrail, but the churn traces to a scoring-methodology switch (movers-v1 to movers-v2), not a sales surge: Aida Muluneh takes #1 and Romuald Hazoumè jumps from #77 to #3, both on representation and exhibition signals with zero recorded sales in the window.

Fifteen of this month's top 25 OKN Movers names were not on last month's list at all. Every single name that held a top-25 spot in October has dropped out of it. That is a formula story, not a market one.
November is the first OKN Movers snapshot built on movers-v2, a reweighted version of the scoring model. October's list ran on the older movers-v1. The review flagged the resulting top-25 turnover at 100%, far past the 40% threshold that normally stops a snapshot before it ships. The pool of eligible artists barely moved, up from 1,168 to 1,173. The curator approved the snapshot anyway and logged the reason as the methodology update itself. Read this list as a new formula finding its feet, not as African art rotating its favorites inside a month.
Aida Muluneh takes the top spot, up from #28 in October. Romuald Hazoumè makes the single biggest jump on the board, climbing from #77 to #3. Both were already in the pool last month, and neither climbed on a run of sales. Okasen's own scoring data shows zero recorded sales for either of them in the window measured. What moved them was representation and exhibition activity, two of the inputs the new formula leans on.
Fifteen names are entirely new to the top 25: Bunmi Babatunde (#2), Avhashoni Mainganye (#5), Neil Rodger (#6), Beth Diane Armstrong (#7), Paul Sekete (#8), Alexis Schofield (#9), Larry Otoo (#10), Wolf Kibel (#12), Diek Grobler (#15), André van Vuuren (#17), Leigh Voigt (#18), Isaac Nkoana (#20), Martine Jackson (#21), Tshivhangwaho Hendrick Nekhofhe (#22) and Tosin Kalejaye (#23).
Most debut on thin sales data: one to four recorded sales each in the scoring window, enough to register as a sharp move off a near-zero base. Bunmi Babatunde, the highest-ranked of the newcomers, is a Nigerian sculptor born in 1957 who trained at Yaba College of Technology and works mainly in wood, bronze and fiberglass. Nothing in the record points to a specific reason he debuts at #2 this month. The research turned up no news hook for it, so none is claimed here.

Romuald Hazoumè's run from #77 to #3 is the month's largest single move. A solo show is listed under his name at October Gallery, London, titled "My Blue Period," running from early October into late November, according to a gallery-listings site that covers it. Aida Muluneh's climb from #28 to #1 lines up with a second solo exhibition at Efie Gallery in Dubai, "This Bloom I Borrow," though sources disagree on exactly when that show closes.
There is no "falls" list in the usual sense this month. Every name that held a top-25 spot in October is gone from November's, a function of the formula change rather than twenty-five artists cooling off at once. A cluster of names climbed hard from well outside the top 25: Chika Idu (#4, up from #37), Ange Arthur Koua (#11, up from #74), MÉNÉ (#13, up from #79), Murray James Turpin (#14, up from #61), Deborah Segun (#16, up from #85), Nathaniel Sheppard III (#19, up from #55), Amadou Sanogo (#24, up from #92) and Bodys Isek Kingelez (#25, up from #94). All eight were already somewhere in the ranked pool last month, just much further down it.
Seventeen of the top 25 carry Okasen's verified tier. Eight are emerging. The scoring detail behind the list shows a pattern that holds across almost every name that isn't brand new this month, including Muluneh at #1: zero recorded sales in the window, with representation and exhibition-acceleration signals doing the work instead. The fifteen new names mostly show a handful of sales each, not a surge.
The broader Okasen indices back up the read that this is not a sales story. The OKN Verified 100 moved -0.33% over the trailing month to its early-October vintage. OKN Nigeria, OKN Painting 100 and OKN South Africa each sat within two points of flat over the same stretch. None of the twenty most recent sold transactions in Okasen's data, nearly all from a single Strauss & Co sale on September 15, belong to anyone on this month's Movers list. The list measures momentum inside a scoring model, not the size of the market, and this month the model itself is what moved.
