How it's built
A forward-built blend of assessed value and auction sell-through, with an annual pre-launch history.
A geometric blend of two components, each measured against launch: assessed value and market depth, weighted 0.5/0.5. Assessed value is a like-for-like price level for the OKN Verified 100 universe: a regression on auction sales that compares each artist’s work with their own earlier sales, controlling for medium, size and auction house, so a batch of new, cheaper (or pricier) work entering coverage doesn’t move it. Each update is measured inside a single fit and chained to the last. Market depth is the trailing-12-month auction sell-through rate (lots sold ÷ lots offered), compared house by house, so it doesn’t move just because we start covering another auction house. Points before launch are annual, chained backwards from launch; a year that can’t be linked or has too few lots offered is shown as a gap. Revised 2026-10-03.
